Tom McLaughlin is a dyslexic author and illustrator who believes that being dyslexic is a super power!
He’s the author of the Accidental series for Oxford University Press and his books have been translated into over 10 languages!
Come and see how he uses story telling, live drawing and his own unique story to inspire us to use our Super Powers!
Tom will talk about his career and how he started writing and illustrating. He will also talk about his books, his difficulties at school and how he overcame them and continues to do so today.
This event is suitable for children and parents. Tom will give a demonstration of how he designs his characters and how the audience can create their own with fun explanations and cartoon drawing with some audience participation. He is keen to show young people with literacy difficulties that they can be successful and creative.
